On the set of Sesame Street, a puppet wrangler is the main caretaker of all of the puppets. Joshua and the wrangling team dress, style, and rig every puppet and prop — drawing on decades of institutional knowledge to make nearly anything possible with these beloved characters.

It's a role that demands equal parts craftsmanship, precision, and instinct. Working alongside the director on every shot, the wrangler ensures the puppets are always looking and functioning their best — while making sure the puppeteers remain hidden and the magic stays intact.

Joshua has worked on Sesame Street since the 50th Anniversary TV Special in 2019, contributing to Seasons 50 through 54, social impact shoots, photo shoots, TV specials, and national commercials featuring the Sesame Street characters. His work on Season 54 earned him an Emmy nomination — one of the highest honors in television.
