World Premiere — December 2026
We live in a cynical world. And yet every year, the holiday season gives us permission to set that cynicism down and focus on what actually matters: spreading goodwill and finding joy together.
The Joyfully Jolly Jamboree was made for exactly that moment.
A 50-minute family spectacular transporting audiences into a nostalgic TV holiday special complete with 11 original songs, handcrafted puppets, and toe-tapping choreography by Broadway's Danny Gardner (Dames At Sea). Vintage in spirit. Joyful in execution.
"Mr. Holden has dedicated his shows to lightening the mood of all in the theater, puppets and humans alike."
— The New York Times
50 Minutes • 11 Original Songs • Ages 6–106 • Premiering Virginia, December 2026
About the Creator
Joshua Holden is an Emmy-nominated artist, Broadway Puppet Director (Water for Elephants), Jim Henson Company builder, and Associate Puppet Director for the world premiere of Lincoln at the Bardo at the Metropolitan Opera.
The Joyfully Jolly Jamboree is his most ambitious work to date. Its seeds were planted in an intimate parlor setting, performing for families who simply wanted to gather, laugh, and feel something together. That spirit of warmth, wonder, and collective joy is at the heart what The Joyfully Jolly Jamboree has become!
