Joshua’s performance featuring his iconic puppet Mr. Nicholas — a skeptic who couldn't quite believe that clothes made from trash is worth the effort. By the end of the piece, Mr. Nicholas was converted. The crowd was too.

The piece was the surprising standout of the evening — sharing the stage with Daphne Rubin-Vega (original Mimi in Rent), Justin Vivian Bond (NYC cabaret legend), Evie Oddly (RuPaul's Drag Race), Alexandra Socha (Glinda in Broadway’s Wicked), and The Main Attraction (NYC burlesque staple).
